The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the title's release, to trainers developing strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.

The Goat – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also very Aquarius.
